As part of the Drought-Affected Farmers Support Project, in partnership with WFP, Kareem Charity held awareness-raising sessions for the target group at the Al-Mukhram Center (lecture) entitled:
"Water Harvesting and Its Role in Combating Drought and Developing Natural Resources in Syria"
Under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Hamdan, Professor and Researcher in Soil Sciences and Water Harvesting Techniques
Lecture Objectives:
1. Educate farmers about the importance of applying rainwater harvesting techniques as one of the ways and means to confront drought and its challenges.
2. Provide an overview of how to establish and apply water harvesting techniques at the field level.
3. The role of water harvesting in improving agricultural production (both plant and animal) and achieving food security.
4. The role of water harvesting in conserving natural resources (water, soil, and plants).
5- Raising local community awareness of the economic and social dimensions of using water harvesting technologies and their sustainability

To bring a smile to our children's faces, Kareem Charity, in cooperation with the Sawa Center, launched an initiative titled "Eid Haircuts Are On Us." The Sawa Center welcomed the children and provided them with free haircuts

✅ An important course titled "Risk Management" was held to provide the best services to the beneficiaries of the Kareem Charity for Social and Charitable Services.

In cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund.

Attended by a group of volunteers from the charity, the course aimed to:
✅ Define risk management and its importance in the context of working to achieve the organization's goals.
✅ Types of risks, how to manage them, and the strategy for dealing with them.
✅ The difference between risk management and crisis management.
✅ Identify the types of risks and the role of leadership in managing, monitoring, and evaluating them.

An exceptional course on "Project Management" for Kareem staff and volunteers, supervised by trainer Mr. Abdul Latif Haddad.

The training was held in collaboration between Kareem Charity, UNFPA, and the Women's Peace and Humanitarian Fund.

Day 1 Topics:

✅ Principles of humanitarian work and their impact on project management
✅ Definition of project management - the difference between a project and a program
✅ Understanding the project life cycle

A special course titled "Case Management" was held to provide the best services to the beneficiaries of the Kareem Charity for Social and Charitable Services.

In cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Women's Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Action, and under the supervision of Ms. Zeina Mansour, Mental Health Department Coordinator at the Syrian Society for Social Development.

A group of volunteers from the charity attended the course with several objectives:
✅ To understand the objectives of psychological interventions, the guidelines for case management, their steps, and their types.
✅ How to prioritize cases after an interview.
✅ Develop a care and referral plan.
✅ How to follow up on cases and provide counseling.
✅ Practical cases and post-selection.

From the "Fundamentals of Digital Marketing via Social Media" course

One of the distinguished courses held in collaboration between the United Nations Population Fund and Kareem Charity to develop the capacity of the charity's staff and volunteers.

Course Objectives??
✅ Create engaging content using innovative tools.
✅ Effectively communicate the charity's message and goals.
✅ Use artificial intelligence in content creation.

Supervised by trainer and content creator Nasser Abdel Mawla.

Um Al Zenar Center for Relief and Development (URDC), in cooperation with the Kareem Charity, organized a clothing bazaar, which a variety of clothes were provided to more than 100 families, within an organized atmosphere that allows freedom of choice to suit different ages and needs.

The bazaar witnessed a special interaction, as it contributed to creating a positive experience that enhanced the spirit of cooperation and joint work between the two teams. This activity is part of a series of events aimed at supporting the local community through deliberate and sustainable initiatives.

Towards a better life

In cooperation between the Ministry of Economy and the World Food Program, a bread support project was launched in several Syrian governorates, including Homs. The project aims to improve citizens' living conditions and enhance food security in the country. From this perspective, Kareem Charity  is working as a partner with the World Food Program to implement the project in the Al-Mukhram and Al-Qusayr sectors, oversee the distribution process, and implement the necessary measures to ease the burden on citizens

In light of the challenges facing communities, Kareem Charity, in cooperation with the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS), held an awareness-raising session at the Armen Community Center, aiming to empower participants to spread awareness and save lives from the dangers of remnants of war and explosive ordnance.

From the atmosphere of the awareness lecture for those affected by drought, on the mechanism for benefiting from the funds provided by WFP in partnership with the "Kareem" Charitable and Social Services Association.
The lecture was held at the Cultural Center in the Al-Mukhram area of ​​Homs Governorate, attended by representatives from WFP.
The lecture was followed by a meeting that brought together the district director, the director of agriculture, social affairs officials, and the head of the Al-Mukhram City Council. Issues related to the association's work and the mechanism for joint action were discussed.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and as part of the activities of the "Karim" Association to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer, the association held an awareness session covering the following topics:
1- Raising awareness about breast cancer, its symptoms, and methods of prevention.
2- Teaching the self-examination technique.
3- Encouraging early screening because it increases the chances of recovery.
4- Raising awareness about the importance of psychological support in overcoming and fighting the disease.

As part of the capacity building, qualification, and training program at Kareem Charity, a training course "Risk Education Assistants"  was held in cooperation with UNMAS for  the charity's staff members from November 9th to 13th, 2025. The course was supervised and conducted by instructors Fadi Homsi and Abeer Al-Sayegh.
The training aimed to prepare facilitators for explosive ordnance awareness sessions. The training topics included:

Effects of explosive ordnance

Safe behavior

Signs and indicators of the presence of explosive ordnance
